Mike DuBois, William Giese, and Mikio Kennedy created this image for the Grateful Dead 1991 Madison Square Garden shows in New York City. It was featured at the time on the event shirt produced by Grateful Dead Merch and Not Fade Away Graphics and then subsequently featured on shirts, stickers, posters, and other memorabilia at retail. The original painting was rendered in acrylic with both brush and airbrush.
