Garcia: A Grateful Celebration: Published 1995 by Dupree’s Diamond News
Dupree’s Diamond News, published by John Dwork, from May 1987 to about 1998, usually about four times a year, documenting the Deadhead Experience.
Dupree's Diamond News is named after the Jerry Garcia / Robert Hunter song Dupree's Diamond Blues.
Garcia: A Grateful Celebration, a DDN Special Edition Statement of Purpose from copyright page, reads as follows:
"After Jerry died, lots of people rushed to press with a memorial or tribute geared to the masses. We decided to take a little more time to put together a Celebration of memories of Jerry's life from family and friends. We wanted this to be a place where we didn't have to start out with 'Jerry Garcia played guitar for a San Francisco-based rock band.’ With that in mind, this is a loving presentation by Deadheads for Deadheads."
