In 1991, Arista Record released "Deadicated: A Tribute To the Grateful Dead", a rainforest benefit album, with significant proceeds from its sale donated to the Rainforest Action Network. The album featured covers by artists such as the Indigo Girls, Dr. John, Elvis Costello, and Warren Zevon performing such classics from the Grateful Dead catalog as “Uncle John’s Band”, "Deal", and "Casey Jones."
Long-time Grateful Dead artists William Giese and Mikio Kennedy produced the album cover as a beautiful full-color oil painting.
